Dr. Su-Jung Kim / DMD, MSD, PhD

 

Dr. Su-Jung Kim, DMD, MSD, PhD, is a Professor and program director in the Department of Orthodontics at Kyung Hee University School of Dentistry, Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Kim completed all her studies at Kyung Hee University School of Dentistry. She has spent time (2012-3) as a visiting professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she was doing a regular weekly seminar to teach the orthodontic residents sleep-related orthodontics for a year. Dr. Kim is a former chairperson in the Department of Orthodontics at the same University Dental Hospital. She served as a Director of Scientific affairs of the Korean Association of Orthodontists (KAO), and currently working as a Director of Scientific affairs of Korean Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (KADSM) and a Trustee of Director of Korean Society of Digital Orthodontics (KSDO). She is a longstanding member of various other professional and scientific organizations and societies, including the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), and World Sleep Society (WSS). She is the major author of 80 SCI(E) articles and has world-widely delivered scientific and clinical lectures in the big International meetings. She achieved renown by publishing a Springer handy book entitled “Orthodontics and Obstructive Sleep Apnea Patients” in 2019. She has been involved in Pediatric Dental Sleep Medicine Mini-residency program hosted by Tufts University and in the Dental Sleep Medicine Mini-residency program by University of Pacific (UOP), as an instructor of sleep-related orthodontics in 2019. She has been hosting a Kyung Hee International Mini-residency program and intensive coursework dealing with all about sleep-related orthodontics since 2018.
