CLINICAL SKILLS

Clinical Skills in Dental Sleep Medicine

• Proficiency in performing oral examinations specific to sleep apnea.

• Ability to design and implement dental appliances for the management of sleep-related breathing disorders.

• Hands-on experience with bite registration, fitting and adjustment of oral devices to manage obstructive sleep apnea.

Diagnostic Capabilities

• Skills in interpreting sleep studies and polysomnography results.

• Understanding of home sleep testing and its applications in diagnosing sleep disorders.

• Ability to differentiate between various types of sleep apnea and sleep disorders and recommend appropriate treatments and referrals.

Treatment Planning and Management
