Opening of our Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain, Latin America. April 8, 2026.

We kicked off our first virtual session by addressing the fundamental biological principles, covering key topics such as the neurobiology of pain, muscle tissue, anatomy as it applies to the craniofacial region and the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), as well as a comprehensive introduction to temporomandibular disorders.
We were honored to have Dr. Estuardo Mata, dean of Francisco Marroquín University (Guatemala)—the institution endorsing this diploma program—join us for the program’s opening session.
We are deeply grateful to our distinguished faculty for sharing their experience and knowledge: Dr. Fernando Oyarzo Sardiña (Andrés Bello University, Santiago, Chile), Dr. Patricia Guerrero, Dr. Reimy Evangelista, Dr. Hugo Campos (Tufts University, Boston, USA), and Dr. Leopoldo P. Correa (ENES UNAM León, Mexico).
We are delighted by the excellent response from dentists interested in specializing in this field. Our group is made up of professionals from Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, and Honduras, reflecting our vision of an international education that is of high academic quality and accessible to all.
