Miguel Meira e Cruz / DDS, PhD

Prof. Meira e Cruz is European Somnologist – Expert in Sleep Medicine (ESRS) and International Sleep Disorders Specialist (WSS). He is the Head of the Sleep Unit of the Cardiovascular Center, University of Lisbon, Lisbon School of Medicine and Director of the European Sleep Center. International Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Meira e Cruz dedicates it’s clinical practice to both Sleep Medicine and Orofacial Sleep Medicine scope. His main research interest is related with Comorbid Insomnia and Sleep Apnea, Circadian Regulation of Sleep and their interaction with Cardiometabolic Risk. Dr. Meira e Cruz is author and co-author of several books, book chapters, peer reviewed indexed papers and abstracts on Sleep and Circadian Medicine as well as Sleep Physiology and Chronobiology.
