The Orofacial Sleep Consortium Global, in collaboration with the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, successfully conducted a specialized hands-on training program focused on the design and fabrication of mandibular advancement devices (MADs).

This initiative brought together a group of enthusiastic dental laboratory technicians and dental professionals for intensive practical training in dental sleep medicine. Participants received direct instruction in both digital (3D printing) and analog fabrication techniques, gaining valuable skills applicable to clinical and laboratory workflows.

The program aimed to bridge the educational gap between dentists and dental technicians, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and expanding treatment options for patients with sleep-disordered breathing. Emphasis was placed on precision, functionality, and real-world application of oral appliance therapy.

Special recognition goes to Dental Technician Ruth Ramírez Flores for her outstanding contribution to the hands-on component of the course, as well as to Dr. Leopoldo Correa and the Orofacial Sleep Consortium Global for leading and bringing this important initiative to life.
