Daniele Manfredini, DDS, MSc, PhD
Daniele Manfredini, DDS, MSc, PhD, is a distinguished academic and clinician in the field of dentistry, specializing in bruxism and temporomandibular disorders (TMD). He earned his DDS from the University of Pisa, Italy in 1999, followed by a MSc in Occlusion and Craniomandibular Disorders in 2001, a PhD in Dentistry from ACTA Amsterdam in 2011, and a Post-Graduate Specialty in Orthodontics from the University of Ferrara in 2017.
Daniele’s professional journey began as a clinical fellow at the Section of Prosthetic Dentistry at the University of Pisa, after which he joined the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Padova in 2006 as an Assistant Professor and coordinator of research projects.
He taught Prosthodontics, TMJ Physiopathology, Bruxism, and Parafunctions until 2016 before moving to the University of Siena, where he currently teaches Oral Physiology and Clinical Gnathology. In January 2017, he was appointed a Full Professor by scientific merit at the age of 41.
With over 200 publications indexed in Medline and a Scopus H-index of 40, Daniele is a leading voice in his field and has edited influential works, including “Current Concepts on Temporomandibular Disorders.” His expertise is recognized globally, as Expertscape ranks him as the world’s #1 expert in TMD and bruxism since 2013 and 2018, respectively.
