Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are a major contributor to orofacial pain, significantly impacting the muscles, bones, and joints in te face and jaw. Common conditions associated with MSDs include Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD), which can lead to pain, and restricted jaw movement.

As part of the monthly sessions for the Study Cloud ASIA presented by the Orofacial Sleep Consortium Global, exploring this topic will assist healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively diagnose and manage these disorders.

Priyanka Raju Monga

BDS, Orofacial Pain Specialist

Priyanka Raju Monga earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, in October 2017. She specialized in Orofacial Pain at Tufts School of Dental Medicine, completing a Certificate in Orofacial Pain (2018-2020) and passing both parts of the American Board of Orofacial Pain.

She is an AADSM Qualified Dentist, having completed the Tufts Dental Sleep Medicine Mastery Track in April 2022, and is certified in Botulinum Toxin Injections by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Priyanka is also trained in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and is an active member of the Ohio Dental Association and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, contributing to various committees.
